Since 1994, AmeriCorps has engaged more than 980,000 Americans in national service and civic engagement and members have given over one billion hours of service in communities.

Members of The Arc Jacksonville’s AmeriCorps Youth Transaction Project provide a year of service as mentors, helping individuals with intellectual differences learn and perfect much needed independent living skills in a creative environment.

AmeriCorps Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) is a national service program all about helping individuals reach their fullest potential. VISTA is designed to build the capacity of an organization and enhance its ability to serve the community.
