Volunteer of the Month

Matt is a 21 year old Jacksonville native who is preparing to join the US Airforce at the end of May 2010.  Matt got connected with our volunteer program by his brother, Shawn, who is a regular Club Arc attendee.  Humbly, Matt says “I come here just to help out and have fun.  My favorite thing about working Friday nights is the chance to meet people and hear their stories”.  Since Club Arc first opened, Matt hasn’t missed a Friday night.  He’s now deemed the “Café Expert”.  On more than one occasion, Matt has dutifully run the Café without assistance, with a record number of people in attendance!  He always gets to Club Arc with plenty of time to help set-up the other Club areas, fill out paperwork, prepare the kitchen, and monitor safety. Matt always has a smile on his face, and is eager to help in any way that he can!
