FREE work readiness camp for ages 14-21

iCareer is a FREE program to help prepare students for employment.

The Arc Jacksonville Academy’s iCareer prepares students, 14-21 years old, for competitive employment. Three sessions are held this summer. Each session is Monday through Friday, from 9am – 6pm with a one hour break for lunch.

Upcoming Sessions

All sessions are Monday-Friday, 9am – 6pm.

Sessions will focus on the following areas

Session 1
June 10-21, 2019

Self-Advocacy Training, Postsecondary Educational Training, and Work-Based Learning Experiences

Session 2
July 8-19, 2019
Job Exploration Counseling, Work Readiness, and Work-Based Learning Experiences

Session 3
July 29-August 2, 2019

Self-Advocacy Training & Postsecondary Educational Counseling

How to Apply

If you are interested in this program, please complete the iCareer application. You can complete it online, or download the application to complete and mail in.


  • Must be between 14-21 years old
  • Must be a student with a disability enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary education program
  • Past or current IEP or 504 Plan
  • Active status with Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR)
  • Parental Consent
  • Student’s VR Counselor or VR Youth Technician must refer student to The Arc Jacksonville’s iCareer


Each session is held at both Downtown and Village locations. On the application, please indicate which location you would like to attend for the entire session.
