Maryanne Found Friends And Work Through The Facility Based Workshop Program
Born with cerebral palsy, Maryanne had been misdiagnosed and placed in nursing homes for ten years. Once a correct diagnosis was made, Maryanne was able to find the right home and a work program that makes her happy. She now works in The Arc Jacksonville’s workshop program, Triumph Industries, and has formed lasting friendships with many people. She works on her computer, shops and takes digital pictures, enjoying every minute of it. According to Maryanne, the biggest changes in her life are “Independence, freedom and not being tied down.”
